Best AI Investment Agents in 2026, Compared

Federico Kunze Küllmer is the founder of Moneda, one of the tools compared here.
Short answer: An AI investment agent reads the market data and company reports for you and answers in plain language. The right one depends on what you need. A few let you research and invest in the same app. Most are either general assistants that search the web or specialist tools that score stocks or serve banks. We compared seven using each vendor's own pages, read on 23 October 2026.
- Best overall for individual investors: Moneda (free; Premium from €9.99/month): shows the source behind each figure and lets you invest in the same app
- Best for long, open-ended research questions: Claude (free; Pro $20/month)
- Best for a general assistant you already use: ChatGPT (free; paid price not shown on its pricing page)
- Best low-cost entry to deep research: Gemini (free; Google AI Plus €4.99/month)
- Best for a ready-made stock score: Danelfin (free; Plus €22/month billed yearly)

What to look for
Sources you can check. A good agent shows where each number came from. If it quotes a P/E ratio (share price divided by earnings per share), you should be able to see the filing or data feed behind it.
The data it actually reads. General assistants search the web. Specialist tools read company filings, such as the 10-K (the annual report a US company files with regulators), and live prices. Ask which one you are getting.
Both sides of the story. An agent that only makes the bull case (why a stock could rise) is telling you half of it.
What it can do, and what you approve. Some tools only answer questions. Others connect to an account. If an agent can act, check that you approve each step yourself.
The real price. Free plans often limit how much you can ask. Check the limits, not just the headline price.
Who it is built for. Some tools are made for individual investors. Others are sold to banks and funds through a demo and a contract.
The tools, compared
1. Moneda
What it is: An investing app, on mobile and web, built in Europe. Moneda AI runs on Numa 1, Moneda's financial AI engine.
What the AI does: The agent researches a company from its filings and live market data. It works figures out from the data and shows the source behind each one. It gives the bull case and the bear case (why a stock could fall). It scores a company's 7 Powers, a framework for judging a moat (a lasting advantage that keeps competitors out). It checks quality of earnings, meaning whether reported profit is backed by real cash. The Moneda Ratio is a descriptive 1 to 7 scorecard. You can describe an idea in plain words and the agent finds matching investments. It can build an illustrative portfolio from your goal, track it, tell you when something changes, and stress-test it against 2008, 2020 and 2022. You can also benchmark a portfolio against gold, an index or any fund. A stock screener helps you filter companies, and the agent pulls data straight from company filings, with SEC filings and earnings-call transcripts you can search. It writes earnings summaries and sends a daily briefing on your portfolio and the market.
You can invest in the same app: US-listed shares and ETFs (funds that trade on an exchange like a share), including fractional shares, and crypto. You approve every trade with your passkey (face or fingerprint). The agent never tells you to buy or sell. Moneda MCP connects Claude and ChatGPT to your Moneda account with the permissions you set, so you choose what each agent can see and do. Payments are still approved in the app. Premium and Ultra also include a REST API and a CLI.
Data covered: Stocks, ETFs, gold, silver and oil through ETFs, and crypto.
Price: Standard is free. Premium from €9.99/month. Ultra from €19.99/month, with more AI usage and 1, 5 or 10 commission-free trades per month.
Moneda's own tests (October 2026): groundedness 97.9%, claim verifiability 92%, FLARE-CFA 95.6%, and 80% on the public set of the Vals AI Finance Agent Benchmark v2. Moneda ran and graded that last test itself. Vals AI's top published score is 65.4%, on its private set, which is a different set of questions.
Best for: People who want research and investing in one place: an AI that does the analysis and shows its sources, then you buy with your approval. You can also connect Claude or ChatGPT through Moneda MCP with the permissions you set, and every payment is still yours to approve.
Honest limitation: You can invest in US-listed shares and ETFs only, so no European-listed stocks or funds.
2. Claude
What it is: A general AI assistant from Anthropic.
What the AI does: It answers questions, searches the web and, on paid plans, runs a Research mode for longer questions. Connectors are on every plan, so it can work with other tools, Moneda MCP among them.
Data covered: Whatever web search and your connectors bring in. Anthropic's pricing page does not describe a built-in market data feed.
Price: Free. Pro is $20/month, or $17/month billed yearly ($200 up front). Max from $100/month.
Best for: Long, open-ended research questions where you want to read the reasoning.
Honest limitation: It is a general assistant, not an investing product. You check the figures and do any investing somewhere else.
3. ChatGPT
What it is: A general AI assistant from OpenAI.
What the AI does: Search, deep research, data analysis and charts. The plan comparison also lists a Finances feature, though the page we read does not say what it does.
Data covered: Web search and files you upload. A built-in market data feed is not documented on the pricing page.
Price: A free plan exists. Paid plans are Go, Plus and Pro, but the prices did not show on the pricing page when we read it, so we list them as not stated.
Best for: People who already use ChatGPT and want quick answers to investing questions.
Honest limitation: Free deep research is limited, and it is a general tool. You have to check where each number came from.
4. Gemini
What it is: Google's AI assistant.
What the AI does: Answers questions and, even on the free plan, runs Deep Research, which reads many web pages and writes a report.
Data covered: The web. A dedicated market data feed is not documented on the subscriptions page.
Price: Free. Google AI Plus €4.99/month, Google AI Pro €21.99/month, Google AI Ultra from €99.99/month.
Best for: Trying deep research at a low cost.
Honest limitation: It is not built for investing, so it reads what the web says rather than a company's filings directly.
5. Danelfin
What it is: An AI stock-scoring service.
What the AI does: Gives each stock and ETF an AI Score, with technical, fundamental and sentiment scores, buy, hold and sell signals, and AI price forecasts for 1, 3, 6 and 12 months. It ranks US stocks, US ETFs and European stocks.
Data covered: US stocks and ETFs, and European stocks. Paid plans can sync portfolios with US broker accounts.
Price: Free (10 reports a month). Plus €22/month billed yearly (€264/year). Pro €59/month and Elite €134/month, both billed yearly.
Best for: Investors who want a single score to sort ideas quickly.
Honest limitation: A score is a short answer. It does not explain a company in full, and signals and forecasts can be wrong. You cannot invest from it.
6. Fiscal.ai
What it is: A financial data company with a research terminal, a data feed API and MCP connectors for AI tools.
What the AI does: It pulls figures out of filings and investor relations material. Each figure links back to the source filing, and humans check the data. MCP connectors bring that data into your own AI tools.
Data covered: Financial statements and ratios, segments and KPIs, adjusted metrics, filings, 15-minute delayed quotes, estimates, news, ownership, transcripts and fund letters from 750+ investors.
Price: Not published. The pricing page would not load when we checked.
Best for: People who want company figures they can trace to the filing, inside a terminal or their own AI.
Honest limitation: It is a data and research tool. You cannot invest through it, and pricing was not available to us.
7. Rogo
What it is: An AI platform for financial institutions.
What the AI does: Runs finance workflows through what Rogo calls hundreds of purpose-built financial agents, for example refreshing public comps (comparable company valuations) or finding precedent deals.
Data covered: Integrations with FactSet, PitchBook, Salesforce, DealCloud, SharePoint and OneDrive, plus a firm's own systems.
Price: Not published. You request a demo.
Best for: Banks and investment firms.
Honest limitation: It is built for institutions, not individual investors.
How to choose
If you want to research and invest in one place, with sources you can check, start with Moneda's free plan. If you want an assistant for many tasks, Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini are fine, and you can connect them to your Moneda account through Moneda MCP. If you want a quick score, look at Danelfin. If you work at a fund or bank, Fiscal.ai and Rogo are built for you.
FAQ
What is an AI investment agent?
Software that reads market data, company reports and news, then answers your questions in plain language. Some can also take actions, such as preparing a trade for you to approve.
Can an AI agent pick stocks for me?
Some tools give buy, hold or sell signals. Moneda AI does not tell you to buy or sell. It shows both sides and the sources, and the decision stays with you.
Are these tools free?
Moneda, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Danelfin all have free plans with limits. Fiscal.ai and Rogo do not publish prices.
How do I know if an AI's numbers are right?
Look for the source behind each figure, such as the 10-K or the data feed. If a tool cannot show where a number came from, check it yourself before you rely on it.
What is a DCF and does the agent need one?
A DCF (discounted cash flow) values a company by estimating its future free cash flow (cash left after running and investing in the business) and converting it to today's money. It is one method among several. A good agent explains its assumptions so you can change them.
