How do I add a backup passkey?

A backup passkey is a second passkey that can approve payments on your account. Go to Settings > Security > Passkeys, then tap "Add backup passkey".

You can save it in a password manager or on a hardware security key such as a YubiKey. Choose a different place from the one holding your current passkey. If both live in the same password manager, losing access to that manager loses both.

Add your backup while you still have your current passkey, because you confirm the new one with it. If you later lose your main passkey, you can approve payments with the backup instead. If you lose both, you can still get back in with your recovery email.
