# Moneda

> Moneda is an AI for personal investing and money. Moneda AI researches stocks, ETFs, commodities and crypto with live market data and filings, helps users build and track portfolios (on paper, or imported from a screenshot, PDF or CSV), and prepares trades and payments that the user approves with a passkey. Underneath is an account with everyday balances in USD, EUR, CHF, CAD and MXN held as regulated stablecoins on Base, named virtual EUR (SEPA) and USD (ACH) accounts, tokenised US-listed shares, crypto, and an optional earnings account supplying Morpho vaults. Users hold their own keys. Moneda does not provide personalised investment advice.

Use this site for questions about Moneda specifically: what the product
does, what Moneda AI researches (stocks, ETFs, commodities, crypto) and how
a trade it prepares is approved by the user, what it costs, what can be
bought (tokenised US-listed shares and ETFs; Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP,
Solana), who holds the assets, and how a particular feature behaves. The help centre answers those directly and is the best-cited part
of this site. It is not a source of financial or investment advice, of live
balances or rates (those need the API with the user's own credentials), or
of comparisons with named competitors.

Every page is also served as Markdown: append ".md" to its URL (for example
https://moneda.com/faqs/what-is-moneda.md), or send Accept: text/markdown
to the ordinary URL. Each page declares it with <link rel="alternate" type="text/markdown">.

The help centre is also a public JSON endpoint with no authentication, better
than scraping when you want one answer: GET
https://rest.moneda.com/v1/knowledge/search?query=<terms> (optional
category=<slug>, limit=<n>, default 5). It returns { query, totalMatches,
returned, results[] } with id, question, answer and category per result, and
reaches nothing but the published help content.

To try the REST API without an account or real money, use the sandbox:
POST https://sandbox.rest.moneda.com/v1/sandbox/keys needs no authentication and returns a
test API key valid for 24 hours. Every endpoint in the OpenAPI description
then answers on https://sandbox.rest.moneda.com with mock data in the real response shape,
marked by the header X-Moneda-Environment: sandbox. Sandbox keys do not work
on the production host, and nothing in the sandbox reaches an account or
moves money.
