# How do I change the email on my account?

Go to Settings > Account, and choose to change your email. Enter the new address and confirm the code Moneda sends to it.

A few things to know:

- For security, you will be asked to confirm it is really you before the change goes through.

- You may need to sign in again afterwards.

- Disposable email addresses are not accepted, and the address cannot already be in use by another Moneda account.

- If you signed up with Google or Apple, the new address cannot belong to an account that already exists on Moneda.

- There is a limit on how often you can request a change. If you hit it, wait and try again.

If your email is also your recovery email, review it in Settings > Security afterwards so recovery still points at an address you control.
