# How do I approve a payment my AI assistant starts?

An AI assistant cannot move your money on its own. When you ask one to send a payment, it creates a **payment request** rather than a payment, and you get a notification asking you to approve it.

You open the request in the Moneda app, check the amount, recipient, and currency, and approve it with your passkey. Only then is anything sent. Until you approve, the assistant is simply waiting, and it can see that the request is still pending but cannot advance it.

If the details do not look like what you asked for, tap Reject. The request is tied to the exact amount and recipient it was created with, so an assistant cannot quietly change them while waiting for your approval.

A request expires after 5 minutes. If it expires, ask the assistant to create it again.
