> **Short answer**: there is no single winner. If you want research and investing in one app, with a source behind every figure, look at Moneda. If you mostly want to see all your accounts in one place, getquin is built for that. If you want to build your own dashboards, charts and screens, Koyfin is built for that. General AI chat tools like Claude and Gemini are good thinking partners, but they are not investing apps, and they do not document which market data they use.
>
> - **Best overall for individual investors in Europe:** Moneda (free, Premium from €9.99/month). Shows the source behind each figure, gives a bull and bear case, and lets you invest in the same app.
> - **Best for tracking every account in one place:** getquin (free, Premium €89.99/year)
> - **Best for visual stock reports:** Simply Wall St with Charlie (price not published)
> - **Best for custom dashboards, charts and screens:** Koyfin (free, Plus $39/month)
> - **Best general AI to connect to your account:** Claude (free, Pro $20/month), which links to Moneda through Moneda MCP
> Best if you already use Google: Gemini (free, Google AI Pro €21.99/month)

This guide compares six apps that European investors use when they want AI help with their money. We did not test each one hands on. Every fact about a competitor comes from that company's own website, read on 23 October 2026. Where a page did not say something, we say so.

## The comparison at a glance

Prices are as of October 2026, as published on each vendor's own page.

| App | Best for | What the AI does | Can you invest in it? | Starting paid price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Moneda | Research and investing in one app | Researches stocks, ETFs and crypto from filings and live data, shows sources, stock screener, searchable SEC filings and earnings-call transcripts, import portfolios from other brokers for analysis | Yes: US-listed shares, ETFs, crypto, with your approval on every trade | Premium from €9.99/month |
| getquin | Tracking all accounts | AI portfolio analysis, AI financial agents on Wealth | No, it tracks | Premium €89.99/year |
| Simply Wall St (Charlie) | Visual stock reports | Monitors markets, screens, flags risks | Not documented | Price not published |
| Koyfin | Custom dashboards, charts and screens | No in-product AI described on the pricing page | Not documented | Plus $39/month |
| [Claude](https://claude.ai) | General questions, linked to your account through Moneda MCP | General AI assistant | No | Pro $20/month |
| [Gemini](https://gemini.google.com) | Google users | General AI assistant | No | Google AI Plus €4.99/month |

## What to look for

A good AI investing app should make you a better judge of your own decisions. That comes down to a few checks.

- **Can you see where a number came from?** An answer about a company's free cash flow (the cash left after it pays to run and maintain the business) is only useful if you can check it against the source.
- **Does it give both sides?** A fair answer covers the bull case (why a stock could do well) and the bear case (why it could do badly).
- **What data does it read?** Look for company filings, such as the [10-K](/blog/how-to-read-a-10-k-with-ai) (the annual report US companies file with regulators), and live prices, not just news headlines.
- **What does it cost once you use it a lot?** Free plans often limit reports, holdings or AI messages.
- **Who places the trade?** If the app can trade, you should approve every order yourself.
- **Does it cover what you own?** Check the markets: US shares, European shares, ETFs (exchange-traded funds, baskets of assets that trade like one share), crypto.

## The apps

### 1. Moneda

**What it is.** An investing app for mobile and web, built in Berlin. You research and invest in the same place.

**What the AI does.** [Moneda AI](/financial-agent) runs on [Numa 1](/models/numa-1), Moneda's financial AI engine. The agent pulls data straight from company filings, and you can search [SEC filings](https://www.sec.gov/edgar/search/) and earnings-call transcripts yourself. A stock screener lets you filter companies by the numbers. It works out figures from the data and shows the source behind each one. It gives the bull and bear case. It scores a company's [7 Powers](/blog/what-are-the-7-powers), a way of judging its moat (the lasting advantage that keeps competitors out), and checks the quality of earnings, meaning whether reported profit is backed by real cash. The Moneda Ratio is a descriptive 1 to 7 scorecard. You can describe an idea in plain words and the agent finds matching investments. It can build an illustrative portfolio from your goal, track it, tell you when something changes, and [stress-test it](/blog/best-ai-tools-to-stress-test-a-portfolio) against 2008, 2020 and 2022. You can benchmark a portfolio against gold, an index or any fund. If you hold investments at other brokers or apps, you can import them as paper portfolios, and the agent analyses the stocks and your positions.

You can also [invest](/invest) in the app: fractional US-listed shares and ETFs, plus crypto. You approve every trade with your passkey (face or fingerprint), and the agent never tells you to buy or sell. [Moneda MCP](/developers) connects Claude and [ChatGPT](https://chatgpt.com) to your Moneda account with the permissions you choose, and payments are still approved in the app. Premium and Ultra add a REST API and CLI.

Moneda's own tests from October 2026: 97.9% groundedness, 92% claim verifiability, 95.6% on FLARE-CFA, and 80% on the public set of the [Vals AI Finance Agent Benchmark v2](https://www.vals.ai). That last run was done and graded by Moneda. Vals AI's top published score is 65.4% on its private set, which is a different set, so the two numbers are not a direct comparison.

**Data covered.** Company filings and live market data for stocks, ETFs, crypto, and a few commodities through ETFs (gold, silver, oil).

**Price.** Standard is free. [Premium from €9.99/month](/plans). Ultra from €19.99/month, with more AI usage and 1, 5 or 10 commission-free trades a month.

**Best for.** Research and invest in one app, with your approval on every trade and a source behind every figure.

**Honest limitation.** You can only buy US-listed shares and ETFs, not European-listed stocks or funds.

### 2. [getquin](https://www.getquin.com/pricing)

**What it is.** A portfolio tracker. It connects your bank and broker accounts and shows your net worth and investments in one view.

**What the AI does.** Premium includes AI-powered portfolio analysis. The Wealth plan adds unlimited access to what getquin calls AI financial agents, plus financial planning and a retirement plan.

**Data covered.** Linked bank and broker accounts, real-time financial data, dividend figures and allocation breakdowns. The pricing page does not say which markets or exchanges it supports.

**Price.** Free at €0. Premium €89.99/year. Wealth €149.99/year. Country taxes and fees are extra.

**Best for.** Investors with accounts at several brokers who want to see everything together.

**Honest limitation.** It is a tracker. You cannot buy or sell inside it, according to its pricing page, which lists no trading features.

### 3. [Simply Wall St](https://simplywall.st/plans), with Charlie

**What it is.** A stock research site known for visual company reports. Charlie is its AI agent.

**What the AI does.** Simply Wall St says Charlie monitors markets, screens for opportunities around the clock, flags risks and can run background research on topics you care about. It says Charlie can also access analyst views.

**Data covered.** Financial data from [S&P Global Market Intelligence](https://www.spglobal.com), covering more than 120,000 stocks in over 90 markets, including the US, UK and Germany. That wide reach is a real plus if you hold European shares.

**Price.** Price not published. The plans page names Free, Premium and Unlimited tiers but shows no amounts. Charlie is available to free and paid users.

**Best for.** Visual learners who want quick reports on stocks around the world.

**Honest limitation.** The free plan allows 5 company reports a month and 10 holdings in one portfolio. The pages we read do not say whether you can trade.

### 4. [Koyfin](https://www.koyfin.com/pricing/)

**What it is.** A market data and charting platform, with plans for individual investors and financial advisers.

**What the AI does.** Not documented. The pricing page describes no AI features inside the product.

**Data covered.** Up to 10 years of financials and estimates on paid plans, ETF holdings, a stock and ETF screener and more than 100,000 global company snapshots. The free plan has 2 years of financials.

**Price.** Free $0. Plus $39/month. Premium $79/month. Adviser plans from $209/month. Annual billing saves up to 30%.

**Best for.** Hands-on investors who want to dig through numbers and build their own charts.

**Honest limitation.** It is a data tool, not an AI agent, so you do the analysis yourself.

### 5. [Claude](https://claude.com/pricing)

**What it is.** A general AI assistant made by [Anthropic](https://www.anthropic.com).

**What the AI does.** It answers questions, reads documents you upload and helps you reason through ideas. You could give it a 10-K and ask it to explain the P/E ratio (price to earnings: the share price divided by profit per share). It can also connect to other apps, including Moneda through Moneda MCP.

**Data covered.** Not documented for market data on the pricing page.

**Price.** Free $0. Pro $20/month billed monthly, or $17/month billed yearly. Max from $100/month.

**Best for.** General questions beyond investing, and using it with your Moneda account through Moneda MCP. Moneda AI reads filings and documents too, so you only need Claude if you already use it for other work.

**Honest limitation.** It is not an investing app. You cannot trade in it, and you should check any figure it gives you against the source.

### 6. [Gemini](https://gemini.google/subscriptions/)

**What it is.** Google's general AI assistant.

**What the AI does.** Answers questions, summarises and helps you research. The subscriptions page lists plans by usage limits, not by finance features.

**Data covered.** Not documented for market data on the subscriptions page.

**Price.** Free €0. Google AI Plus €4.99/month. Google AI Pro €21.99/month. Google AI Ultra from €99.99/month.

**Best for.** People who already live in Google's apps and want a cheap entry point.

**Honest limitation.** Like Claude, it is not built for investing and you cannot trade in it.

## How to choose

Start with what you want to do most.

If you already have accounts at three brokers and just want a clear picture, a tracker like getquin fits. If you love numbers and want to build your own dashboards and screens, Koyfin is made for it. If you want reports on a German or UK company, Simply Wall St covers far more markets than Moneda does today.

If you want to understand an idea, see both sides, check every figure and then act on it in the same place, Moneda is built for that. Its catch is coverage: US-listed shares and ETFs only, so no European-listed stocks or funds.

General assistants are worth having either way. They are good for learning terms and thinking things through. Just keep in mind that a chat window is not a source, and verify the numbers.

## FAQ

**Can AI pick stocks for me?**
None of the apps here should be treated that way. Moneda's agent never tells you to buy or sell. The useful part is research: faster reading, both sides of the case, and sources you can check.

**Which AI investing app covers European stocks?**
Of the apps here, Simply Wall St documents the widest coverage, with over 90 markets including Germany and the UK. Moneda covers only US-listed shares and ETFs.

**Are ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini safe to use for investing research?**
They are useful for explaining terms and reading documents. Their pricing pages do not document which market data they use, so check every figure against the original filing.

**Is there a free AI investing app?**
Yes. Moneda Standard, getquin Free, Koyfin Free and the free plans of Claude and Gemini all cost nothing. Simply Wall St says Charlie is available to free users. Free plans come with limits.

**What is a 10-K, and why does it matter?**
It is the annual report a US-listed company files with the US regulator. It holds the audited numbers, so it is the place to check what an AI tells you.
